A Dementia Roller Coaster Ride
Episode # 49
The 1st 11 minutes of this episode is about new equipment that I had to buy for the podcast. In this 1st 11 minutes, I talk about a Sony digital recorder as well as the Logitech C920 webcam. Also in these 1st 11 minutes, I mentioned 3 podcasters that I listen to and get excellent advice from.
The 1st podcasting that I mentioned in this episode is Cliff Ravenscraft from the Cliff Ravenscraft show and you can find his show at https://www.cliffravenscraft.com. Cliff was the 1st podcaster I listen to. Cliff said don’t record into software for your podcast. Every time I did an episode I keep hearing him say that.
Then I thought to myself, it’s possible that it was Daniel J Lewis from the audacity to podcast, you could find his show at https://www.theaudacitytopodcast.com.
You see, this is how podcasting works you start listening to one podcast are and you run on to another podcast in the show that you listen to. That’s how I ran on to Daniel J Lewis through Cliff’s podcast. I ran on to the 3rd and final podcast or that I’ll mention here and that is, Dave Jackson from the school podcasting. You can find his show at http://schoolofpodcasting.com.
The rest of my show talk a little bit about Mama waking up in the middle of the night is absolutely terrified, she was so terrified that she woke up the boy who is very hard to wake up in the middle of the night. I also talk a little bit about mom not eating the way she should. And she’s losing weight because of it.
We also needed to buy Mama a sippy cup. I talk a little bit about the reason why we bought our sippy cup, what she did with the sippy cup, and so on.
I also talk a little bit about being able or unable giving mom her medication at times. And that creates a problem all in its own because we have a German Shepherd mix and it wouldn’t be good for the Shepherd to find any of mamas medication that for some reason or another would end up on the floor.
We also discussed mom still playing with the blankets on the bed for one reason or another. All this and more on this episode of caregiving for dementia.
